Shield

Shield (ShieldOpsec), built by Iservices Opsecfusion, is our cyber exercise platform: Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions, cyber drills and tabletop exercises that train African defenders in realistic conditions.

Faced with unsustainable fees to provision a platform for its cyber exercises, AfricaCERT received a free, dedicated instance of Shield from Iservices, and we built with its team the high-performance infrastructure required to develop talent at scale.

Milestones powered by Shield:

• Africa Internet Summit (June 2026, Nairobi, Kenya): AfricaCERT's flagship CTF competition.
• AfricaCERT & SADC Cyber Drill & Cybercrime Cooperation Event (October 5 to 9, 2026, Talatona, Luanda, Angola): three parallel exercises, a Youth CTF, an AI/Deepfake Fraud Cyberdrill and the OT Operation Dark Current Tabletop Exercise.
